Ed Sheeran may have sung about a “Castle On The Hill,” but for the last two years, the British pop star has been thinking about a condo on the waterfront.
The “Shape Of You” singer and his wife, Cherry Seaborn, have just closed on an approximately 3,400 square foot, three-bedroom, three-bathroom Brooklyn Heights waterfront condo in the same development as an apartment that they had been renting for the past two years, reports The Real Deal. Sheeran has been enamored with the building for some time. In 2023, he agreed to pay $36,000 a month for another unit in the same development — the most expensive contract in Brooklyn that year.

The Real Deal reports that the off-market purchase was made through Patrick Walker LLP, a U.K.-based firm registered to the couple. Despite the large number of newly constructed condos in and around Brooklyn Heights, where Sheeran’s new condo is located, the property is not new. It was sold to the couple by Jillian Woods and her husband, Jordan, who purchased it in 2017 for $6.1 million.
The 100-unit building at 130 Furman St. is also home to Rapper Kendrick Lamar, who owns a condo there, having purchased a duplex for $8.6 million in 2023, according to the New York Post.
Though the Brooklyn property is Sheeran’s only U.S. home, he has a substantial portfolio in the U.K., where he owns multiple homes and commercial developments in upscale areas of London.

According to The Sunday Times, Sheeran’s net worth is around £300 million ($405 million). It has helped him to amass a fortune in real estate. According to U.K.Standard, Sheeran owns at least 27 homes in London in coveted neighborhoods such as Holland Park, Notting Hill, and Covent Garden.
Sheeran has taken a leaf out of fellow rock star Sting‘s playbook by buying a vineyard in rustic Italy. In Sheeran’s case, his Italian villa is in Umbria and came with the vineyards. Sheeran is also the owner of a £3.7 million estate, dubbed Sheeranville by The Standard, in Suffolk, England.
